What is the Mind Body Eating Approach?

This approach to weight issues considers more than nutrition and exercise. It also explores how factors such as relationships, work, family, and trauma can play a role in weight and body issues.

In order to heal our patterns regarding food and body image, we have to focus on discovering the underlying psychology that is leading to those patterns.  In other words, we need to address the root causes of these challenges in order to heal them. One we have this knowledge, we can use it to create new patterns of thinking and habits that better serve our body.  

By using the tools of eating psychology, we can change our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about food and body.  These tools can be used to address struggles with body image, emotional eating, binge eating, and endless dieting.

What this approach most allows for is freedom from the endless struggle with food and body image.
